After a season of rest, I'm back to work and writing in virtual worlds!  This new tale is a prequel, which will focus on Ermengarde's friendship with Fira, a blue dragon, and her quest for the one thing her father says he most wants, a star of his own.  In this story, the princess is just 14 years old but already a formidable young woman obviously destined for greatness.  I've begun creating settings and character portraits.  Here are a couple of those portraits, just to whet readers' appetites for fantasy. Friday, December 11 at 2 pm and 7pm (US Pacific Time) Writers' Block Café on Book Island, SL Please join Freda Frostbite for a performance of her book, Ermengarde The Expansive.  The third edition of the book, with new illustrations and a slightly changed plot, will be published within the week.  The event will take place in The Writers' Block Cafe on Book Island.  Please have local voice enabled so that you can hear the tale told.  Illustrations will be displayed. 

For several months, I have been mostly absent from virtual worlds.  I have managed to visit my illustrations studio in Second Life a few times a week, working on illustrations for the third edition of Ermengarde The Expansive.  I expect this third edition to be published very soon.  In the meantime, here are a couple of samples of work created in SL for the book.  FYI, I am still dealing with some significant health issues, so energy is limited.  Still, I hope to be more active inworld(s) after the first of the year. 

Many years ago, I wrote a story called, Ermengarde The Expansive.   Many years later, I published that story.  (You can get your copy here:  Ermengarde The Expansive )  Recently, I have begun a novella which will cover the part of Ermengarde's life following the birth of her daughter, Princess Rosalie.  While working on this tale, I have introduced Queen Ermengarde to Second Life and begun building The Twelve Realms, of which Obifobus is one, in Kitely.  I am not at all sure how I will use these virtual worlds to further develop Ermengarde, but I'm having fun muddling through, playing with some ideas.  For the time being, there is no Ermengarde in The Twelve Realms, construction being barely begun.  Ermengarde in SL is housed at Freda's Girls' new home in UUtopia.  Feel free to drop in there and explore this build in progress any time.  Perhaps you will run into the queen herself while you are there.
