The landing pad at Belle Terre.  Walk through the blam gates or click the events board to get to our many destinations.   grid.kitely.com:8002:Belle Terre   My readers may or may not have noticed I recently took a long break from this blog and from virtual worlds.  I needed the time off to deal with some very real first life health issues and to realize how very much I miss creating beauty, art, and community in virtual worlds when I am not in them.  A couple months ago, I quietly made my return and started building Belle Terre, Hex and my new home in Kitely.  Recently,  I've begun hosting and performing events in the metaverse, almost all in Opensim. What's the same as it always was?  Well, for starters, my husband in all worlds, Heximer Thane, is with me in this new venture.  He's building a bit in Kitely, too, and he is often onhand to help me host events and to cheer me on when I perform.  Of course, I'm still a virtual clot...

This Sunday, a wonderful new exhibit will open at Belle Demeure and I really hope you will be onhand to support the very talented artist, CybeleMoon.  Cybele's work is lovely and inspiring.  Please don't miss it! 

Hello everyone!  In first life, Hex and I had a quiet Christmas with my daughter and her dad.  We didn't even put the tree up til Christmas Eve, which suited me just fine.  It'll come down by New Years, which also suits me.  Christmas Day, we went out to dinner at a diner about 30 miles from home.  It was really pretty impressive, so I suspect we'll be headed there for future holiday dinners.  (In case anyone wonders-- yes, we cook.  We even cook well.  But why bother when someone else can do the clean-up at a restaurant?) In less wonderful news, Hex is temporarily unemployed because of the US government shutdown.  For a while at least, that won't affect our inworld expenditures and activities.  If it reaches a point where it does, we'll still be around but doing things differently. Hello friends!  In first life, Hex and I are well into the throes of a Florida winter, meaning I had to wear socks yesterday.  I am happy to report that, In SL, no socks are required and I could wear flip flops every single day if my fashionably manicured avatarian feet did not scream for haute couture.  Of course, there are parts of SL where it is always winter, but, here, at Belle Demeure, it is eternal spring.  I do hope you'll drop by this month to feel the warmth and to see the holiday display in the main salon at the chateau.  Of course, I encourage you to to take in an event or two here as well.  We have quite a lot going on this month.  As always, you are invited.  I hope you'll start by attending IanLee Patton's art exhibit, opening December 2, at our Frostbite-Thane Gallery.  Ian is a well-established artist in his first life, as well as SL. Anime and fantasy style artwork and illustrations influenced by eastern design concepts and principles. Ian has shown his RL art on prim for over 12 years in second life. He has had galleries and shows at most major art sims and events and has been a virtual curator himself, showing 4 SL artists a month. Just last year he had a RL exhibition at a local gallery which went well and is hoping to display at comicons next. He is currently working on a fantasy board game, created from scratch. Illustrating all board pieces, cards and character art. The real challenge will be making 3D printed models for characters and monsters. 3D design is a new challenge but one which will also be shown in second life in a year or so.
